The very promising Ludovicus was approved for the KWPN studbook with a total of 83.5 points and will continue his career at Stal Hendrix in Kessel. Under the saddle of Pieter Keunen, this five-years-old stallion is showing a lot of potential and also his first foals are very promising. Paul Hendrix: “Ludovicus comes from the second crop of the international 1.55/1.60m jumping stallion Edinburgh and is definitely a horse for the future. He has a lot of power in his canter and always jumps with great reflexes and a lot of scope. We have high expectations for him.”
The genetically interesting Edinburgh has often shown his jumping quality and since the end of 2019 he is ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten. At the age of nine he already claimed a top result by finishing fifth in the Sires of the World (1.50m) competition in Lanaken. Ludovicus’s dam Fanetra is a half-sister of the international showjumper Douglas (s.Canturano) and combines the proven stallions Balou du Rouet and Clinton, with which Ludovicus has great origines. Out of this direct line also come Lauren Crooks’ international Grand Prix showjumper Dancer as well as the 1.45m jumping Elinck. Ludovicus is available at Stal Hendrix.
