Cardento offspring performed remarkably in La Baule, France. In the 1.60m Grand Prix of La Baule, Katanga vh Dingeshof (Cardento x Tornado) ridden by Nicola Philippaerts managed to claim victory in a jump-off field of 14 competitors. Markan Cosmopolit (Cohiba x Calido I) placed 2nd, ridden by Jens Fredricson, and another daughter of Cardento: Iliana (mv Gentleman), ridden by Henrik von Eckermann, placed 3rd.

The Derby of La Baule was also won by a descendant of Cardento: Scarteen (Mv Chellano Z) and Shane Breen took the victory in the Derby.

In Friday's Nations Cup, each prize-winning team had a descendant of Cardento: Grand Slam VDL and Marlon Zanotelli won with the Brazilian team. Belgium finished 2nd with the Cardento-mare Katanga v/h Dingeshof in the team, ridden by Nicole Phillippaerts. In the Bronze winning team of Sweden Cardento-daughter Iliana made a good contribution to the result with Henrik von Eckermann.

Glamour Girl (Zirocco Blue x Caletto I) won a 1.50m class, ridden by Henrik von Eckermann.
