Saturday's famous La Baule Derby was won by Denis Lynch and Night Train. The long and difficult track proved to challenging for many; six riders were eliminated and one retired. There were no clears in the class, and with Denis being the only rider on a four fault score the win went to Ireland. This was Lynch and Night Train’s fourth win in two weeks; the two won three classes in Hagen the last weekend in April as well. Leon Thijssen was second on Dahlia Z on eight faults, while Richard Spooner ended third on Apache on the same score.
