Meyer and Bettinger German Champions

Jun 3, 2012

Janne-Friederike Meyer and Marc Bettinger are German Champions for 2012. Yesterday Meyer won the German Championship for female riders with La Coco and today it was Marc Bettinger's turn to win the open German Championship with Oh D'Eole.

The German Championship is devided in two - one for the female riders and one that is open. All the riders that want to compete for Germany during the year have to take part, and the only riders that weren´t there were the riders that competed in the Top League in St. Gallen on Friday.

Janne Meyer went for a double win as she rode her best horse Cellagon Lambrasco in today´s final in the open Chamionship. Together with Marc Bettinger and Rolf Moormann she was clear after all four rounds. In the jump-off Meyer was first in, and went clear and fast. Marc Bettinger was next, and managed to be slightly faster than Janne. Rolf Moormann with Acorte was last to go, and got one down and then retired. Meyer therefore had to settle with one gold and one silver medal at this year´s German Championship.
