Edward Gal saved the best for last tonight at the Dutch Championships in Hoofddorp. He rode Glock's Undercover to the highest score in the Grand Prix, 75.766%. The judges were not quite unanimous about Gals victory. One judge saw him on a fifth place, the others placed Gal and his hotheaded son of Ferro first.
The places 2 - 7 were very tied. Ex aequo second again Edward Gal now on the Danish bred stallion Blue Hors Romanov and his partner Hans Peter Minderhoud aboard Glock's Tango (74.362%).
A bit disappointing was Anky van Grunsven's test. The 18 years old Olympic Champion Salinero had some troubles in the extended trot. The pair ended up fourth (73.83%). On the fifth spot Hans Peter Minderhoud on the beautiful mare Donna Silver (73.277%). The piaffe is the only exercise which needs progress.
Imke Schellekens and the impressive Hunter Douglas Toots reached the 6th place (73.191%). The pair had a fault in flying changes and the piaffe-passage on the centre line failed.
Edward Gal's third horse, Interfloor Next One, was placed 7th.
