Demeersman and Cicero Z van Paemel won GP Aalst

Dirk Demeersman and Cicero Z van Paemel won the 3* Grand Prix in Aalst, Belgium. The class featured some big names, but it was the Belgian rider and his 12 year old Carthago Z-stallion that went all the way to the top. The pair had one of eight double clears, but in the jump-off they managed a slightly faster time than the runner-ups that were no other than reigning world champions Philippe Le Jeune and Vigo d’Arsouilles STX. The difference between the two riders were only 0.25 seconds. A little further behind in third was British rider Joe Clee on Diablesse de Muze, a 9 year old Baloubet du Rouet-daughter.

The small Grand Prix in Aalst was won by Harrie Smolders and Exquis Powerfee, ahead of John Whitaker on Argento and Penelope Leprevost on Nice Stephanie. Rodrigo Pessoa and HH Palouchin de Ligny have also had a good weekend; the won the 1.40 classes both Friday and Saturday.
