Twomey and Lynch selected to represent Ireland

Horse Sport Ireland has nominated Denis Lynch and Billy Twomey to compete during the Olympic Games in London representing Ireland. Ireland did not manage to qualify as a team, but Lynch and Twomey still managed to secure two individual places. These places were Irelands places though and any qualified rider could be selected.

As there have not been any other riders proving better than the two - Lynch and Twomey are now traveling to London with their respective horses Abbervail van het Dingeshof and Tinka's Serenade. For Abbervail this will be his first Championship as Denis over the last years have chosen Lantinus for the bigger jobs. Tinka on the other hand was Billy's partner both during the World Equstrian Games in Kentucky in 2010 and at the Europeans last September in Madrid.
