Swiss Werner Muff wins

Swiss triumph in the Prize of the Handwerk: Werner Muff wins with Osiris du Goyen. The best German rider was Thomas Weinberg with Escobar in eighth place.

Ludger Beerbaum played it safe with his mare Gotha: The pair jumped clear in 86.02 seconds, which put them in 24th place. Werner Muff, who competed at the FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 in Aachen and at the 2007 European Championships in Mannheim with Plot Blue, started riding as a child. The family man, who grew up on a farm, is a professional rider.

Second place went to the Irish show-jumper Shane Breen with Ominerale Courcelle, who in spite of picking up four faults, secured second place in this speed jumping competition (61.13 seconds). The French Kannan daughter is ten years old.

The Swedish rider Peder Fredricson, who jumped clear in 61.62 seconds, finished third with the Swedish gelding Holliday KLG, an 11-year-old Quite Easy son.
