The German team for the Olympics

The German team for the Olympics is now announced. After showing off great in the Top League season this year the German team is without any doubt one of the favorites to take home the gold medal in London. Their team will consist of Marcus Ehning with Plot Blue or Copin van de Broy, Philipp Weishaupt with Monte Bellini, Janne-Friederike Meyer with Cellagon Lambrasco and Christian Ahlmann with Codex One or Taloubet Z. The reserve rider will be announced after the Grand Prix in Aachen tomorrow.

The big surprise on the German team is probably Marco Kutscher’s absence. Normally he would have a spot on the team, but after two disappointing rounds in the Nations Cup in Aachen Thursday changes were made. We are happy to see Philipp Weishait on the team though as he has performed very well over the last months and most definitely has earned his place.
