Dutch fourth rider announced

For the Dutch the position of the fourth rider was at stake in Aachen. Patrick van der Meer convinced all selection moments with his nice riding style and elegantly moving former world champion Uzzo (by Lancet). At the Dutch championships in Hoofddorp, at the CHIO Rotterdam and now in Aachen he was placed in front of the other possible pair Imke Schellekens-Bartels showing Hunter Douglas Toots (Jazz). Patrick who decided last year to end his riding school and to concentrate on his sporting career only, was over the moon. He patiently waited for all decisions made and just did what he had to do: showing to his best at the decisive moments.

The Dutch team will be European Champion Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival, reigning Olympic Champion Anky van Grunsven and her 18 years old Salinero and World Champion Edward Gal now aboard Undercover. Individual rider: Patrick van der Meer and former World champion young dressage horses Uzzo.
