Gold for Catherine Dufour and for Dana van Lierop

Catherine Dufour an Atterupgaards Cassidy from Denmark had already scored the best result in the Young Riders Team Competition yesterday (76.290% ). Today, the elegant pair repeated this effort in the Individual Competition to claim Gold and the European Championship title with the highest score with no less of 78.789 %. As in the Junior Individual Competition, Germany claimed Silver and Bronze: Charlott-Maria Schürmann and Burlington scored 77.026% for the silver while Sanneke Rothenberger with Wolke Sieben scores 76.868% for the bronze. Fourth place went to the golden teampair Germany too: Florine Kienbaum and Don Windsor reached 75.500%. In fifth place came another Young Rider from the silver team Denmark: Nanna Skodborg Merrald with Millibar (74.342%). As in the previous days, todays competitions were held under the best possible conditions.

16-year-old Dana van Lierop from Holland and her 12-year-old Rohdiamant-son DJ Tiesto won the Juniors Individual Competition with the outstanding score of 77.184% and claimed the Gold medal. The gold winning rider of last European Championships Ponies was too happy with her performance and also with the atmosphere and splendid show conditions around."This is far nicer than I ever have experienced with the Ponies", Dana complimented the Swiss organisers and the great atmosphere in the Dutch camp.
Silver and Bronze went to Germany: Vivien Niemann and Wirsol's Cipollini scored the second best result with 74.711% and Vivian Scheve was third with Bellheim and 74.184%. The positions four and five were claimed by the gold winning team riders Dutch riders Antoinette ter Riele and Ziggy (73.553 %) and Suzanne van de Ven with Donna Gracia (73.211%), both riding strong tests as well.
