La Coruna; Marion Hughes and Henk van de Pol on top

Henk van de Pol and Chesterfield were the winners of the Trofeo NH Hoteles in La Coruna Saturday evening. The 1.50 class was with a winning round which gave the Dutch rider the win with a clear and fast second round even though he had four faults in the first round. On-form rider Laura Renwick kept up her great performances from last weekend in San Patrignano and secured second place. Riding Oz de Breve (Dollar du Murier x Grand Veneur) Renwick was double clear, but was 0,09 seconds away from taking the win. The winner of the 1.45 class yesterday, Pedro Veniss, came third with Norlan des Estisses (Quidam de Revel x Uriel). Also this combination was double clear, but nearly a second slower than the winner.

In the 1.45 class earlier in the day - the Trofeo La Caixa - the win was Irish as Marion Hughes and Heritage HHS Fortuna (Heritage Fortunus x Cavalier Royale) produced the fastest round of the day at 54,06. Home rider Sergio Alvares Moya and Kisby (Kaiserwind x Lohberg) came second with the time 54,63 right ahead of another Spanish rider Jesus Garmendia Echeverria riding Calvaro’s Konzert (Calvaro x Quick Star).
