Pavo Cup for Four-Year-Olds

Aug 17, 2012

Although the KWPN stallion Desperado (Vivaldi out of Sarita keur pref by Havidoff, b/rp: the Andeweg fam. of Randwijk), also registered to Ad Valk, was the strong leader after the semi-final and the first final round this morning, he still had to prove himself this afternoon under test rider Eva Möller of Germany, who won a gold medal at this year's FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses. She gave the stallion with fantastic movement a 10, which made him unbeatable. The number two and three horses remained unchanged: the approved stallion Diëgo (Negro out of Ballerina II by Don Gregory, breeder: M. Berkmortel), registered to Van Olst Horses of Den Hout, received a 9 from Möller, good for second place; while the elite mare Taxi Buuron Diva (Vivaldi out of Udine stb by Gribaldi, b/rp: C. van Loon-De Berg of Kruisland), also registered to her rider Corina Verbocht, received an 8 in the final to end in third place, making her the best mare in the four-year-old division. The fourth place finisher was the KWPN stallion Dream Boy (Vivaldi out of Resia elite by Ferro, b/rp: T.J.M. Coomans of Oud-Beijerland, co-r/p: K.A.E.
