Belrose wins Six-Year-Old Division

Aug 17, 2012

After two rounds, Niels Nanning and Belrose (Action Breaker x Equador) were in third place in the semi-final on Wednesday. Following her victory in the final on Thursday morning, the bay mare, bred by Stal Nanning in Dalfsen, was the undisputed champion.

After the semi-final, the top of the standings had changed remarkably little. The winners of the semi-final, Siebe Kramer and his home-bred horse Bella Meta (Triomphe de Muze x Quick Star), ended seventh in the final class and third in the final standings. Second in the final standings was the elite mare Bibi-Sijgje HS (Verdi x Heartbreaker) with Kristian Houwen, who were also second in the semi-final. The Verdi daughter, who was bred by G.M. Spronk of ’s-Heerenbroek, finished fourth in the final class. Second place in the final class was for the ster gelding Beaumont (Vermont x Julio Mariner), bred by and registered to P. de Rooij of Diessen, with Monique Veldhuis in the saddle. The combination ended fifth overall. Chantal Regter rode Bentley (second round viewing, PROK, Cardento x Canaletto) to third place in the final class and sixth in the final standings. Under Hester Klompmaker, Beegien SFN (Contendro I x Quick Star, breeder: E. Santing of Wapenveld) jumped to fifth place in the final and fourth place in the final standings.

The KWPN-approved stallions Bugatti VDL (Silverstone x Indoctro), with John Popely, and Biscayo (Contendro I x Lux), with Hester Klompmaker, placed 14th and 20th respectively.

The nine best combinations in the final standings automatically qualify for the World Championships for Young Jumpers in Lanaken.
