Christian Ahlmann took home the big class in Münster

Aug 26, 2012

Christian Ahlmann won the qualification to the DKB-Riders Tour with Lorena (by Larenco) in Münster today. It was a 1,50 class. Out of 53 starts, eleven made it to the jump-off.

Clarissa Crotta with West Side v Meerputhoeve (Baloubet du Rouet x Apollonios) was first to go and did a great clear round with a good flow around the course. It was fast but nothing crazy and she ended the course in 45.72 seconds. Patrick Stühlmeyer with Lacan (Lando x Contender) was next to go and after two fences fell to the ground he had to settle with eight faults.

Simon Delestre did his best to put some pressure on the rest of the riders and took over the lead together with Whisper (Gentleman x Sit This One Out) in 42.12 seconds. Torben Köhlbrandt with Dante de Joter (Clinton x Darco) entered the arena next, but eight faults was probably not what he hoped for.

Meredith Michaels Beerbaum did a fantastic round with the 12 year old stallion Cantano (Cascavelle x Acord). Even though she took a bit longer way to the last fence she took over the second place. As always Janika Sprunger with Jl's Komparse (Kolibri x Kronenkranich xx) did her best to take over the lead, which she accomplished when she ended the course in 40.38 second.

Next to go was Christian Ahlmann. Lorena (by Larenco) looked like a pony taking the short turns in the jump-off. The couple secured the win when they finished in 39.54 seconds. Noltes Küchengirl (Lord Z x Cambridge Cole) stepped in the third last fence after a really short turn so Marcus Ehning crossed the finishline with four faults.

Janne-Friederike Meyer did a safe clear round aboard Holiday by Solitour (Contendro x Cascavelle) same did Rolf Moormann did with Acorte (Acorado x Stakkato). Last to go was John Whitaker and the 10 year old Argento. They made some really short turns, but unfortunately the second last fence fell so he had to settle for the eight place as the fastest rider with four faults.
