The Hungarian Championships final was held last Sunday afternoon at the National Riding School of Hungary. Eighteen riders participated in the two-round competition and completed the 1,50m courses in front of a crowded tribune for the title of ’Hungarian Champion’ and for the Fiat Grande Punto, which has been offered to the winner by Fiat Hungary.
Kaarlo Kovács, aboard Agropoint Cassius, won very tightly ahead of László Tóth, who has been the most successful Hungarian rider at the CSIO3* Budapest in July this year. Anita Szabó came to the third place. Kaarlo is already a two-time individual silver medallist of the previous National Championships, competed several times at Junior and Young Rider European Championships, and won the first qualifier with the six-year old stallion, Keve, in Lanaken last year at the World Breeding Championships. This year he finally managed to win both the individual and team gold at the Hungarian Championships, congratulations!
