The new pair Patrice Delaveau and Carinjo *HDC (Cascavelle x Landgraf)won the 1,45 class with jump-off in Vienna today. It was a class with 50 riders and fifteen of them made it to the jump-off.
Luciana Diniz with Bluebuster (Mr. Blue x Fleur du Manoir) was first to go and she did a great clear round which in the end would be good enough for the six place. Second out was Rodrigo Pessoa with HH Rebozo (Tlaloc la Silla x Ramiro Z) who took it a bit easy and ended the course in 41.12 seconds.
Gerfried Puck was the only home rider in the jump-off and he was well underway with Glock's Wibo B (Cobra x Larino), but unfortunately the last pole fell. Johannes Ehning on Salvador (Calvados X Voltaire) went in to second place after Luciana, even though he did one more stride in the first two distances than the other riders.
Emanuee Gaudiano with Cocoshynsky (Cornet Obolensky x Popcorn) did a really short turn to the third fence and almost fell off in the next turn but managed to stay on and took over the lead. But he wasn't able to keep the lead for long - Marcus Ehning with Cornado NRW (Cornet Obolensky x Acobat) was a bit faster and slotted into first.
Meredith Michaels Beerbaum did a really nice round with the eight year old Malou (Maloubet du Pleville x Carthago), but ended up in eight position. Then followed Harrie Smolders with the speedy Exquis Powerfee (Fedor x Erdball) who pushed Marcus down to second place.
Both Alvaro de Miranda with Show Show and Ben Maher with Aristo Z by Andiamo had great times, but both had to see the last pole fall to the ground. Lorena (Larenco x Romeo), ridden by Christian Ahlmann, stumbled a bit in the turn after the water oxer and they went in on second place.
Then it was time for Patrice Delaveau with his new ride Carinjo *HDC. The two really seem to have found each other in the short amount of time they have spend together, and Carinjo showed how fast he can be when he took over the lead. Last to go - Julian Terceira with Bernadien van Westuur - was no threat to Patrice as she had a fault on the first element of the combination, leaving the win to the French rider.
