The Frenchman Julien Epaillard won tonight the Grand Prix Ciutat de Barcelona Copa SEAT, one of the most emblematic competitions of CSIO Barcelona. Riding Monalisa Ls, the French rider made a second round without penalty and excellent crono.
Of the fifty binomials who took part in this competition, the third and last of the second day of CSIO Barcelona, thirteen went to the second round. Only the winner and its immediate follower, the Italian Roberto Arioldi with Lagerfeld 19, managed to complete it without a fault. The British veteran John Whitaker, riding Argento, achieved third place. Sergio Alvarez Moya riding Zipper, with one penalty point in the first round, was the best Spanish and qualified in fourth position, followed by another national rider, Manuel Añon, with Qlamp d'ivraie.
