Jessica Michel wins the French title in Saumur

The final day of the French Championship competition in Saumur ended with the Grand Prix Freestyle for the Pro Elite class. Jessica Michel led since the beginning of the championship winning both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special and then took the Kur as well by winning her first title of Champion of France at the highest level.
Ten pairs entered the arena for the ultimate test but only nine running for the championship, eagerly awaited by the audience was the best French pair, Jessica Michel entered the track with her Olympic mare Riwera de Hus. On a musical theme of Jean-Michel Jarre, the couple held a great test with very fluid and dynamic piaffe, better than the previous days, although this is still the weak point of the mare. One snag, just a little hesitation in the last canter to trot transition, didn’t damage the quality of the test, since the final score of 77.719% was a great performance.
Jessica Michel won her first title of Champion of France Pro Elite, concluding a very successful year. “I am very happy with this title because I had already won the Pro 2 and the Criterium previously with Riwera and this is a sign of great improvement and continuity,” said Jessica Michel with a smile, “I am especially pleased since this was the first time that Riwera participated on all three Grand Prix level tests, since we had never participated in a CDIO.”
Silver medal wento to Claire Gosselin with Karamel de Lauture and bronze to Catherine Henriquet with Paradieszauber.
The final standing is from the sum of the three test: Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle.
