Philipp Weishaupt took home the biggest class at the five star event in Rio de Janeiro yesterday. Aboard Leoville (Landor S x Wettruf) the German rider beat home rider and organizer Alvaro de Miranda with the tiniest of margins; the two riders were just separated by 0,02 seconds! Doda rode AD Rahmannshof’s Bogeno (Baloubet du Rouet x Elanville). Ben Maher and Aristo Z were third, about two seconds behind Philipp and Doda.
Doda had a great day at the office, and was also second in the 1.45 class. The Brazilian rider was aboard Show Show in this class and was only beaten by German rider Hans-Dieter Dreher on Constantin B (Contendro x Espri). Another Brazilian superstar was third; Rodrigo Pessoa on HH Let’s Fly.
The Best of Brazil competition – a 1.50 class – went to no other than the most consistent man of the day; Doda! He rode the lovely AD Ashleigh Drossel Dan in this class (Drosselklang II x Ashleigh Brigadier), where fourteen Brazilian riders competed against each other.
