The 21-day performance test for the six-year-old Cantos son Bosch Blue concluded yesterday. The stallion, who was bred by A. van de Broek of Lierop, is out of the ster preferent mare Pavona, a Mr. Blue daughter out of Divona by G.Ramiro Z x Nimmerdor. Other horses out of the direct dam-line include the KWPN stallions Unaniem (s. Numero Uno) and Garmisch (s. Grannus).
Bosch Blue, who was selected for the performance test as a three-year-old, was evaluated at Rock Pointe Equestrian, owned by the Kist family, in Dewincton, Alberta, Canada. During the 21-day test period, the gray stallion was trained by Jim Ifko, in cooperation with Nikkie Verdonschot of the Netherlands. Senior inspector Wim Versteeg and KWPN judge Toine Hoefs were present at the venue upon the stallion's arrival, while Bart Henstra and Lana Sneddon evaluated Bosch Blue midway through the test. The final evaluation was conducted by Arie Hamoen, chairman of the stallion selection committee, and senior inspector Wim Versteeg.With funding by the stallion's registered party, Bosch Farms LTD of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Bosch Blue was evaluated on his natural talent. Upon completion of the 21-day test, he was approved with the following scores:
