GP Saint-Lô went to Claudia Gisler and Touchable

Oct 15, 2012

The three star Grand Prix of the City of Saint-Lô - Conurbation Saint-Lô went to Claudia Gisler and Touchable. Only two couples out of 59 managed to qualify for the jump-off. The Swiss rider finally beat Reynald Angot from France. Angot, third to start, made the first clear round aboard Opera des Loges. One would think he would show the way but it was the opposite. It was not until the 38th rider that another clear round came, this time from Gisler. The jump-off was a French-Swiss battle on a course reduced to eight obstacles.

As first to go Angot had a difficult task: to go fast without dropping a pole. Unfortunately, the seventh fence, a vertical in the colors of Saint-Lô proved fatal. Claudia was next and had one strategy; a clear round. With her 12 year old Dutch stallion Touchable, she went around the track in cathedral silence. Claudia Gisler was simply untouchable, and cleared the course - much to her joy! Nicolas Delmotte/Number One d'Iso*Un Prince signed the fastes four fault round and ended third.
