Munich Indoors 2012: Big wins for Ehning & Will

Nov 5, 2012

Munich Indoors 2012 had two big classes on this weekend; The Championat von München and the Großer Preis der Deutschen Kreditbank AG. The Championat was held on Saturday, and won by Marcus Ehning on the wonderful Sandro Boy-daughter Sabrina, who had one of nine clears in the jump-off. The pair crossed the finish line on 32.92 seconds, with Luciana Diniz close behind on 33.41 seconds aboard Bluebuster (Mr. Blue x Fleuri du Manoir). Third place went to Davide Kainich aboard the relatively inexperienced Loro Piana Tamarix FM (Kannan x Caritas) with a time of 33.70 seconds. "I believe I did some good turns," Marcus said in his usual humble way after his win.

The prestigious Großer Preis der Deutschen Kreditbank AG, which also served as the final in the DKB Riders Tour, saw the well-riding David Will ending up on top. David rode the lovely Colorit (Coriano x Capitol I) in Sunday's highlight class. The two was one of eight combinations with a clear jump-off round, with almost a second down to runner-up Marcus Ehning on Cornado NRW (Cornet Obolensky x Acobat) who enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Munich. Third place went to Luciana Diniz aboard Lennox (Lifestyle x Grannus) - which gave the stylish rider enough points to secure the overall win in the DKB Riders Tour 2012.
