New horses for Cara Raether

American rider Cara Raether has acquired the talented nine year old stallion Winston (Heartbreaker x Burggraaf). The stallion has caught many showjumpers' eye, as he has jumped very well under previous rider Mareille van Geel-Schröder. After the five star tournament at Spruce Meadows in September, the interest increased and now Winston has a new home with Raether who trains with Beezie and John Madden.

It now turns out that Raether also is bringing the elleven year old stallion Luganer (Landclassic x Ramiro's Son) to America. Luganer has been with the Danish rider Rikke Haastrup Kristensen since he was four, and the two have been a successful combination. "It was with mixed feelings we saw the lorry leave the yard with Luganer today," Jesper Lund Kristensen - Rikke's husband - said to Ridehesten.com.
