Weidezaunprofi’s River of Joy sold to young eventer

The German eventing portal buschreiter.de stated yesterday that Michael Jung’s 11-year-old top mount Weidezaunprofi’s River of Joy has been sold. The majority owner Ralf Renner confirmed that River of Joy will from now on be ridden by a young German eventer without mentioning the name. Renner had numerous inquiries from abroad, but it was his intention to keep River of Joy in Germany.In 2012, Olympic champion Michael Jung and River of Joy claimed victory of the German championships at the CIC*** Luhmühlen (GER) and won the World Cup qualifier in Strzegom (POL).

It is worth mentioning that the sale of River of Joy had been conducted in consultation with the Jung family. Ralf Renner (managing director of the equestrian center Weidezaunprofi) and the Jung family will continue their cooperation regarding breeding and upbringing of eventing horses.
