The Mexican Championship took place this weekend in Balvanera, Mexico. It was Enrique Gonzalez with Criptonite that won the championship for a second year in a row. Criptonite is an eleven year old gelding by Cento x Lord Z, and is owned by Enrique Gonzalez himself together with Stal Lenssens in Belgium.
Guillerme Nogueira from Brazil build the courses throughout the championship that is held over three days, and four rounds - two of them on the final and last day. Gonzalez ended with only two penalties overall, and took home the win ahead of Rodrigo Lambre with Chepepe who competes for Brazil. The Mexican Championship is open so that also other nationalities can compete. Third place went to Paola Amilaibia with Prunela d'Ariel from Spain.
