Action Breaker on his way back

Dec 15, 2012

Sergio Alvarez Moya's fantastic stallion Action Breaker got injured right ahead of the Europeans in Madrid last year. The 12 year old stallion has always been sound and strong, but after the injury he was out of the sport for a year. Now he is back in the ring – although not completely back to his previous top form. "Action Breaker is still not 100% back after his injury, but he was away from the sport for a year so I still hope he will get back to the way he was before. I will give him six months and if he still isn't 100% fit, I won't compete him anymore. He is too good of a horse just to bring along to the shows, and as a breeding stallion he is very much in demand so he could breed full time," Sergio Alvarez Moya tells World of Showjumping.

Action Breaker has been doing a great job in the breeding box so far: "I have some very good offspring by Action. Last year I was third in Aachen with a seven year old by Action Breaker that belongs to my brother. He is now eight and has already won a CSI3* Grand Prix. Next year I will bring my own seven year old by Action to Aachen and I also have a very promising six year old. It is going to be really interesting to see how they develop," Sergio says.
