Farewell to E.T. FRH and Apricot D

Jan 5, 2013

Hugo Simon's super stars E.T. FRH and Apricot D were both put to sleep on Friday morning. The both horses have been retired and living at Hugo and Margit Simon's place for nine years but when they were feeding the horses on Friday morning they noticed that they hardly could stand up. To not let the horses suffer they decided to let them go. E.T. was 27 years old and Apricot 29.

E.T. is one of the most famous showjumpers all time and he won together with Hugo over 3,2 million Euro. He won 36 Grand Prix, won the World Cup final twice, won silver at the European Championship and was fourth at the Olympic Games 1996.

Apricot D won together with Hugo team silver at the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992 and won several World cups, Grand Prix and did both the World Championship as well as the European Championship.

Nine years ago the both horses were thanked off from the sport together at the Wiener Stadthalle. Since then E.T. and Apricot have been living their lifes on the fields at Margit and Hugo's place, but yesterday it was time to say Good bye for good.
