Andrea amazes in Amsterdam

Jan 19, 2013

It was Gert-Jan Bruggink and his mare Andrea (Marome NW x Voltaire) that went to the top on home soil in the 1.50 class at Jumping Amsterdam tonight. With one of six double clears the Dutch rider took home the win with a time of 37.59 seconds in the jump-off, ahead of Aniek Poels on Baggio 11 (Heartbreaker x Concorde) at 39.54 around the shortened track. Kathi Offel rode two picture perfect rounds to end third on Fidji Island (For Feeling x Wanderer) - who was very fresh - stopping the clock at 39.67 the second time around. Other riders impressed as well; Julia Kayser ending fourth on Sterrehof's Waterloo (Numero Uno x Voltaire) and Jos Verlooy ending fifth on Domino (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Azur de Paulstra) after two very nice rounds.
