Zapatero VDL wins 1.40 m Sire-class

Feb 1, 2013

Zapatero VDL won the VHO Trofee with rider Jessica Kürten at the KWPN Stallion Show last night. His breeders Hans en Alice Brugman proudly watched him win the 1.40 m class for approved stallions. Arthos R was second with Wim Schröder, followed by Amadeus and Tom Brinkman.

Four pairs made it to the jump-off. Two of the horses were ridden by Jessica Kürten. She had bad luck with her first one in the jump-off. Arezzo VDL had a pole down on the first vertical. The Irish show-jumper was last in the arena with VDL-studstallion Zapatero VDL and grabbed the VHO Trofee (0/35.35).

Wim Schröder and Arthos R showed a nice round: 0/37.08. They were already more than a second faster than the very well jumping Amadeus ridden by Tom Brinkman (0/38.28).
