Friday, the stallion selection committee advanced 40 dressage stallions to the third round viewing, which takes place saturday at the KWPN Stallion Show powered by Massey Ferguson in ’s-Hertogenbosch. As in the first round viewing, young stallions like Ampère and Bordeaux - both past stallion selection champions - boasted notable offspring. “We're very pleased and have high expectations for tomorrow,” said committee chairman Wim Ernes. “We saw a lot of quality horses today, and offspring by Ampère, Bordeaux, UB40, Gribaldi, and Jazz were among those that impressed us. We hope that the stallions will do well again tomorrow, and we may invite additional stallions to the Championship this year. There's a very broad top group, and that's a big gain. In addition, we're very pleased with the offspring by the young stallions, so it appears that we're making genetic progress.”
