Charmeur convincingly captured the M-class of the GMB KNHS/KWPN Stallion Competition. The large Florencio son, ridden by Emmelie Scholtens, impressed all with his amazing trot, which was both pure and uphill. “Every stride was remarkable,” according to judging chairman Arie Hamoen. “What else would you want to see…? That's why we gave him a 10.” The stallion received 9's for his beautiful uphill canter, carriage, overall impression, and conformation. In the walk, however, he was a little tense, which was reflected in his score of 7.5. However, his total score was more than enough for the win. Second place was for the handsome Decor Cachet L, ridden by Mirelle van Kemenade. The stallion's scores included a 9.5 for his beautifully uphill and very powerful canter - the gait in which he really shines. Chippendale, who scored a 9 for his very expressive trot, ended third.
