Sapphire with both clones and embryos

McLain Ward’s famous partner Sapphire (Darco x Hedjaz) was retired last year after a fantastic career. The amazing mare is now enjoying her retirement, and although she can no longer be seen in the ring her heirs and heiresses are waiting to step into the spotlight. According to chronofhorse.com the two Sapphire clones Kara BC and Kidjaz BC are turning three years old in 2013, and they are both a lot like Sapphire. Not only does Sapphire have two clones, two surrogate mares are carrying Sapphire embryos waiting to be born in August —one is by Heartbreaker and the other one by Presley Boy.
