Bosty best in Bordeaux

Feb 9, 2013

The 1.50 class in Bordeaux Friday night was won by Roger-Yves Bost on Castle Forbes Vivaldo vh Costersveld (Clinton x Randel Z). It was close to a double for Michel Robert on Nenuphar'Jac (Cumano x Pidayack), who took home the 1.40 class earlier Friday – but the French veteran was beaten to the finish line by Bosty. With no less than 20 clears in the first round, which was almost exactly half of the class – it was bound to be a fast jump-off in the Prix Generali Assurances. With one top rider after the other lined up to chase the top prize, the second round against the clock was exciting from beginning to end.

The jump-off saw half of the riders go clear. Best of them all were the French with Bosty in first at 30.64 seconds, Michel in second at 31.68 seconds and Patrice Delaveau with Lacrimoso 3 HDC (Landjunge x Cascavelle) as fourth. It was only Christian Ahlmann with the speedy Little Lady (Laptop x Grannus) that managed to squeeze in between the French riders with a time of 32.04 seconds.

Marcus Ehning with Plot Blue (Mr. Blue x Pilot) did one of his text book rounds, to finish fifth. Quintero La Silla (Quantum x Chamonix) with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in the saddle showed some of his special moves twisting and turning over the fences, resulting in Rolf ending 6th.
