Patrice Delaveau - the Master of Hong Kong

The Master of Longines Hong Kong Masters, Patrice Delaveau finished the three day event by winning both the 1.45 class with Ornella Mail (Lando x Alligator Fontaine) and then taking home the Grand Prix aboard Lacrimoso 3 HDC (Landjunge x Cascavelle). Delaveau has won four out of the six classes held in Hong Kong, with Katharina Offel and Denis Lynch as the only two riders who were able to do something about Delaveau’s winning streak.
The AsiaWorld-Expo was sold out for the Grand Prix, and the spectators got to see 27 of the world’s best riders fighting for the victory. 15 riders were clear in the first round and got to enter the arena for a second round where the unbeatable Delaveau, was one out of four double clears. Once again Delaveau outclassed the other riders and was 2.8 seconds faster than runner-up, Britain’s Michael Whitaker and Viking (Jacomar x Almox Prints).

Kevin Staut and Estoy Aqui de Muze (Malito de Reves x Kashmir van Schuttershof) secured more celebration for France and Haras des Coudrettes, the owners of both the French horses in top three. The last double clear was Gerco Schröder and New Orleans (Colbert x Carthago) in fourth place.
In the 1.45 class second place went to Edwina Tops-Alexander riding Erenice Horta (Diamant de Semilly x Parco) ahead of Richard Spooner and Billy Bianca (Vechta x Iroko).
