VDL horses sold for good prices

Last week the WEF Sport Horse Auction took place in Wellington. In this auction, organized by Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP), young talented jumpers of the VDL Stud were sold. The collection existed out of 12 4 year old and 4 older jumphorses.

The average sales price was US$ 126.250,-. The topseller of the auction was the 8 year old gelding Alpha VDL (Corland), he got sold for an amount of $ 490.000. Alpha VDL descends from the famous Sina-line, which is well known for producing top sporthorses. Alpha VDL competed succesfully in The Netherlands with Robbert Ehrens at 1.40m/1.45m level. Recently in January he was clear and finished 10th in the Grand Prix of Drachten. The grey son of Corland is bought by the sponsor of Nicole Shahinian-Simpson.

Also offspring of VDL stallions like Arezzo, Cardento, Douglas and Zirocco Blue were sold for top prices. Emotion VDL (Arezzo x Contender) was sold for $ 175.000, Everton (Cardento x Nimmerdor) for $ 160.00, Excel (Douglas x Quick Star) for $ 150.000 and Ewyruso H (Zirocco Blue x Corland) was sold for $ 125.000.
