DWB - 4-year old champions

When the 4-year old stallions come back to Herning they have a valid performance test with them on the merit list. Already on Thursday the stallion commission announced which ones were permanently approved and which received prolonged covering permission but need more merits to be permanently approved.
Every year two trophies are assigned in the group of 4-year-old stallions; Elvin Rasmussens trophy to best Danish-born jumping stallion and Aage Ravns trophy to best Danish-bred Dressage stallion.
This year ther were no 4-year-old jumping stallion that could receive the honour of the trophy so 5-year-old Mønsteds Hardcore by Heartbeat owned by Hanne Helmers and Frank Kjelberg and bred by Ina Mønsted Pedersen.
Champion for jumping stallions were performance test winner Spitfire Z by Stalypso born in the Netherlands and owned by Stald Cajus, newly approved in SWB.
Champion for dressage stallions were Sezuan by Blue Hors Zack, he received Aage Ravns trophy. The choice was very popular and the virtual mechanical wonder received standing ovations from the audience when presented in hand by Andreas Helgstrand.
Linnette Jæger is the breeder of Sezuan and has had the very unusual pleasure of having the breeding champion two years in a row. Last year she received the trophy for Zonik, also by Blue Hors Zack.
