The six year old Painted Black-daughter Duchess was the price highlight at the tenth Equine Elite Auction in Weert this Saturday. The mare was sold for €270.000. The fifty horses in the auction were sold for an avarage price of almost €50.000.
The auction horses in Weert varied from two year old stallions to ridden, older horses. Besides Duchess, bred by Stal de Bekelaar, also the five year old Finja (Flatley x Rotspon) was knocked down for a topprice: €220.000. Four more dressagehorses were sold over €100.000, namely the six year old Donnevan (Inspekteur x Parcival), the seven year old Sir Charlie Chaplin (Sir Donnerhall x Purioso), Choice of Life (Webster x Esteban) and Cayenne (Johnson x Rousseau).
