Dutch Capitol deceased

The Holstein stallion Dutch Capitol died yesterday at the age of 25. Dr. Gaby Vandaele of the reproductive center Keros in Passchendaele, West Flanders reports that the stallion was suffering from an incurable heart disease and that he has just passed away.

“He has been very useful to us this year because of its fertility”, says dr. Vandaele.

Dutch Capitol was born 25 years ago in the yard of Ton Bonsel. This passionate breeder uesed the foundation stallion Capitol I on his international jumping mare Z-Rebella (Rebel I x Ladykiller xx). Leon Thijssen competed Z-Rebella as well as Dutch Capitol in the international sport. After Thijssen, Pieter Keunen took place in the saddle of Dutch Capitol in international youth classes.

Dutch Capitol was out of the Holsteinse damline 429. His grand dam was the full sister of the stallion Lorenz. Many of his offspring is competing at international level. Maikel van der Vleuten’s Dargita is possibly the most renowned.
