Frank Schuttert won the Grand Prix at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek, Belgium, this Sunday. Riding Arc de Triomphe he was the best in the crowded jump-off.
The coursebuilder could have build a more difficult course in the first round, no less than twenty three combinations started in the jump-off. Schuttert and the Triomphe de Muze-son were the fastest in 35,97 seconds and won 6.000 euro. Simon Delestre and Csarina de Fuyssieux (s. Casario II) came second with a time of 36,05 while third place went to Alec Lawler and Agamemnon (s. Briar) in 37.31 seconds.
Joy Lammers and the KWPN-mare Winny (s. Quasimodo Z) were clear as well in the jump-off and finished in a time of 38.14 seconds on a neat fifth place.
CSI2* Oliva Nova
While Frank Schuttert won in Belgium, his brother Hendrik-Jan Schuttert jumped in Spain to fourth place in the Grand Prix of Oliva aboard the KWPN-bred Bravour (s. Namelus). The two-star Grand Prix went to Jessica Mendoza and Spirit T (s. Tornado) after a ten-horse jump-off. Second place went to Spencer Roe with the eleven year old Padinus-son Wonder Why while Geoff Luckett and Constant II (s. Carinjo) secured third place.
CSI2* Wierden
Saturday’s Grand Prix in Wierden went to the Brit Mark Bunting and Eurohill's Alcatraz, a nine year old KWPN by Heartbreaker. Dutch Siebe Kramer with Zsa Zsa (s. Sam R) ended second with his compatriot Gert Jan Bruggink and Cash Junior (s. Cash) in third. Chantal Regter aboard Bengel SFN (s. Jupilot) was just outside the podium and Sander Geerink on Robinson by Rubert R became fifth.
