While Darragh Kenny lost his ride on Sans Soucis Z to Rodrigo Pessoa, two new horses have taken a stall in Kenny’s yard.
For Pessoa Sans Souci Z is a serious option to ride at the Rio Olympics. The Zangersheide bred son of Surrealist was Kenny’s partner in the Grand Prix’s of Paris and St. Gallen, where the pair took third place.
Now Kenny has taken over the reins of Sergio Alvarez Moya’s Red Star d'Argent (s. Quick Star). At the same time the Irish rider purchased another horse at Alvarez Moya’s: Bolero (s. Chatman).
Kenny will ride Red Star until the horse is sold. Bolero was born in the stables of the famous Belgian breeder Harry Theeuwes and is closely related to McLain Ward’s legendary Sapphire.
