Deusser takes large part of Offenburg prize money

Feb 14, 2016

Sunday's 1.55 Grand Prix of Offenburg saw two German home riders on top as Daniel Deusser won aboard Toulago (Toulon) and Johannes Ehning finished second on Salvador V (Calvados).
Offenburg was profitable to Daniel Deusser. On Friday the German finished second with Toulago in the 1.50 Longines Ranking class, and on Saturday he won the 1.45 Longines Ranking class on the promising 9-year-old mare Comtesse van’t Ertsenhof Z (Calvaro Z).
The jump-off counted thirteen of the 49 riders in the class, but only four managed to produce clear rounds against the clock. Deusser stopped the clock at 34.09 to take home a brand new car as the first prize.
A little over a second behind followed Ehning and the now 17-year-old Salvador V. Janika Sprunger secured the third place aboard another veteran, the 15-year-old Uptown Boy (Odermus R) with a time of 36.54. The last double clear of the day was delivered by Dutch rider Frank Schuttert and Go Easy de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles), who settled for fourth.
